GTXE, NT1 and X4 win at Czech On-Road Nationals, Round 1 in Germany

MRSC Cup 2024 Round 1 & Czech Nationals IC onroad + GT8e
Our first touch with the asphalt track was planned for the first IC onroad race, which took place on a beautiful track next to the border with Germany, in Amberg. The race track is located in a natural valley and the surface is very veryyyyy flat :). The first Czech National IC race was held as part of a local cup race organised by the MRSC Amberg club.
In the 1/10 IC category, Adam Rajnis and Matej Cermak showed the remaining drivers from the very first runs that they were the two who wanted to fight for the victory. Adam was a bit faster and got the TQ 4 seconds ahead of Matej. Tomas Cibulka was the third to start the final.
After the start of the final, Matej moved shortly into first place, but from the third lap Adam gained the lead until lap 17 when the model refused to respond to his radio and he dropped to 8th place. When he got back on track, he still managed to gain 3 positions but had to retire due to interference again.
Matej was not without problems either, dropping to 3rd place, but he didn't lose as much. After the pursuit he finished second by 0.1s behind Karel Krejcik, who avoided the problems. Tomas Cibulka finished third.
In the 1/8 IC category, Thorsten Muller led from the first qualifying run, with Armin Baier finishing second and Simon Cermak third.
Marcel Dostal was the lucky winner of the ½ A final and could start the A final from 11th place.
In the final run there was a fight for the first place between Thorsten and Armin. Armin retired in the end, as did Simon Cermak and Marcel Dostal took the final second place. Lukáš Vopat finished third.
In the GT8e category Martin Bayer and Mirko Engert fought for TQ. Martin won TQ with a 3s lead, Mirko finished second and Marcel Dostal third.
The final runs ended the same as the qualifying and Martin won ahead of Mirko and Marcel.
Maty Knopp took part in the first race in the Open category mainly to prepare for the new season. He managed to win all the runs ahead of Peter Toffels and Clemens Dengler.
